No. 1455 Re: Serial tunnel using ezTCP 2017-01-02

Dear Diego,

This is Khanh of Sollae Systems' Technical Support Team.

Thank you for using our products.

As your description, we have a great solution, called "Sollae Serial Line Router".
With this solution you not only connect two PC but also connect two LAN network over RS-232 line.
Please refer here for more information: http://www.eztcp.com/en/applications/slip_network.php

This solution is only available on EZL-200F product.

However, with CSE-H53N, you alse can establish your network topology as you discribed. But there are some limitations:
- You need to use socket program on both PC to tranfer/receive data (this program is available on our softwares: ezManager, ezTerm).

In this case, let's assume that your network topology: PC_1<-->CSE-H53N_1<-->CSE-H53N_1<-->PC_2.
You need to config as follows:
- RS-232 parameters are the same on two CSE-H53Ns
- IP addresses of PC_1 and CSE-H53N_1 (called LAN_1) are different but the same network (eg. 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2)
- IP addresses of PC_2 and CSE-H53N_2 (called LAN_2)are different but the same network (eg. 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2)
- IP addresses of LAN_1 and LAN_2 are independent
- Refer to page 16->18 of User Manual to config and create socket connection between PC and CSE-H53N (Not that instead of connecting RS-232 cable to PC, connect it to other CSE-H53N)

You can get:
- User Manual: http://www.eztcp.com/documents/manual/cseh53nen.pdf
- ezManager and ezTerm: http://www.eztcp.com/en/download/utility.php

In short, using EZL-200F is more flexible than CSE-H53N because it doesn't require any software.

I hope the above is useful to you.
Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information.

Thank you,

Best regards,
