No. 1690 Re: Re: EZP-250 send IP Address to peer 2019-08-28

I want to connect the EZP to an equipment that has the following requirements:

-The data link layer (Layer 2 of the OSI model) shall use the PPP, as specified in Internet RFC 1661. This equipment shall initiate communications. No authentication shall be used, and no compression shall be used. The IP address is assigned to this equipment by EZP-250 by use of Internet Protocol Control Protocol (IPCP).

-The network layer (Layer 3 of the OSI model) shall use IP, as specified in Internet RFC 1332 and Internet RFC 791 for IP v4.

-The transport layer (Layer 4 of the OSI model) shall use TCP, as specified in Internet RFC 793.

So, as the IPCP is a Network Control Protocol (NCP) for establishing and configuring Internet Protocol over a Point-to-Point Protocol link and it is responsible for configuring the IP addresses, I guess the "SO Command" could be used for it.

Is there a way to make the EZP-250 to send the IP address and NetMask for this equipment by IPCP?

This is the log of IPCP (Flag 0004 of L1/L0 debug flags):

![0:1:4:22.27] ipcp: sent: Configure-Request
![0:1:4:22.28] >>
![0:1:4:22.30] ipcp: rcvd: Configure-Request id=204
![0:1:4:22.31] >>
![0:1:4:22.33] ipcp: sent: Configure-Ack
![0:1:4:22.35] ipcp: rcvd: Configure-Ack id=2
![0:1:4:22.37]
![0:1:4:22.38] ipcp: IPCP negotiation complete.
![0:1:4:22.40] local ip: 192.168.30.1
![0:1:4:22.41] peer ip: 0.0.0.0

I want to configure the Peer IP to 192.168.30.2.

If you need further information, let me know.

Kind regards,
Marcelo Medici
