No. 565 Re: Re: Re: CSW-H80 ATC 2010-07-15

Hi.

CSW-H80 has three operation modes.

1. ISP mode.
This mode is only for the changing firmware. All LED should be off except for the PWR LED.

2. Serial Configuration Mode.
This mode is for configuration of H80's environmental parameters. All the setting could be performed in this mode. Communication is available on RS232 port. All LEDs should be blink simultaneously except for the PWR LED.

3. Normal Mode.
This is for data communication. Also, you can change environmental parameters of H80 through WLAN. When the WLAN is linked, the LINK LED will be turned on. If TCP connection is established, the STS LED will keep on.

To send data to the router, CSW-H80 should be in the normal mode. You can choose the type of communication modes according to your system's demands. At first, choosing TCP or UDP should be decided. Each protocol has its own advantage.

Please refer to the below user's manual of H80 for further information.
CSW-H80 User's Manual
The LED status is described on page 11.
Contents about the operation modes are on page 27.

Thank you.

The system I want to establish is that I have data that will be transmitted through serial port onto the router, and I am wishing to transmit this data onto the internet wirelessly through any WIFI AP. So I believe that each time when I have a data packet arriving I will need to AT command the router for further tranmission (i.e commanding for the desired IP address.) As in which mode I should be in, I was actually wondering what operation mode as in normal mode? ISP mode? ..etc and which LEDs should be on so that I know that I am in the correct mode. Thank you and sorry for the trouble
