Dear Customer,

Thank you for the information.
Those pins are used during the factory process.
They are not for user applications so you can ignore them.

In your scenario:
RFID Reader <--Serial--> CSE-M73 (IP: 10.1.0.1) <--Ethernet(TCP)--> Your PC (IP: 10.1.0.2)

On your PC, you will have to use software that supports TCP socket connection to communicate with CSE-M73 via Ethernet.
If we understand it correctly, you said that the data sent by the RFID Reader can be received via the Simple Test program.
And the Simple Test program is one software that supports TCP socket.
So, please double-check the TCP socket software you are using in your application.
The serial data sent by the RFID reader may have been received, but your software is not configured correctly to display it as well as send a proper response back to the RFID reader. That may be the reason for your issue.

Also, could you please re-run your scenario above, and after running for a few minutes, take screenshots of the Status window via ezManager again?

Thank you very much.
Best Regards

find attashed the CON1 pins i'm talking about.

The ethernet connection is between my PC and the CSE-M73, and the serial connection is bewteen my RFID reader and the SCE-M73.

I confirm that this is the working scenario: RFID Reader <--Serial--> CSE-M73 (IP: 10.1.0.1) <--Ethernet(TCP)--> A device that has IP 10.1.0.2

My CSE-M73 will connect to a PC via ethernet.
Thank you.

Thank you for the information.

First of all, we would like to clarify that CSE-M73 is used just to convert data from serial to Ethernet and vice versa.
We are not sure which pins you are mentioning about, since as we know, there is no CON1 pin on CSE-M73.
You can read more about CSE-M73 pinout on pages 9, 10, CSE-M73 manual:
https://www.eztcp.com/en/download/pds_files/csem73aen.pdf

We are sorry that we are a bit confused about your TESTING scenario.
Typically, in a Simple Test scenario, your CSE-M73 connects to your PC via both serial COM port and Ethernet.
Could you please let us know more details, in your TESTING scenario:
+) The Ethernet connection is between which devices?
+) The serial connection is between which devices?

Also, could you please confirm if this is your WORKING scenario?
RFID Reader <--Serial--> CSE-M73 (IP: 10.1.0.1) <--Ethernet(TCP)--> A device that has IP 10.1.0.2

We would like to ask, which device/software your CSE-M73 is going to connect to via Ethernet connection?

Thank you very much.
Best Regard

I did redownload all the pilots, it does work now, when i pass a card to the RFID reader, the LAN receive data of that card.

Now i want to send this data to a host via ethernet.
How can i do ?
Attached the simple test frame.

Another question, the CON1 pins on the CSE-M73 board are they used to control a devise? if yes how can we program it?

thank you.
Best regards.

> Hello,

Thank you for replying.

the connectors between the CSE-M73 and the serial device are working.

For the serial parameters, i changed the baud rate to match my serial device despite it still not working, even the simple test is not working no more. before i succed to send data from LAN to serial port and vice verca. Now the send data function doesn't work but the connection is established.

Yes i just want to transmit raw data from my serial device.

My serial device (RFID reader) does work on TTL so i connected it to the TTL pins on the CSE-M73 and checked the TTL button located in the serial port tab. Here are the parameters of the serial device : Available Baud rate -> 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200 bauds
Factory Baud rate -> MS2/MS2S R & S: 9600; MS2/MS2S W: 38400 (SSCP®)
Mode -> Asynchronous
Number of bits -> 8
Transfer mode -> LSB first
Stop bit -> 1

Thank you.
Best regards.

Thank you for the information.
Since the Simple Test is successful, the CSE-M73 module is probably working well.
Based on your information, it seems that and the problem is in the serial connection between the CSE-M73 and your serial device.
Could you please double-check if your serial device and the serial cable/connector are still well-functioning or not?
Make sure the serial parameters such as baud rate, data bit, etc., and the serial interface (RS232) are matched between the CSE-M73 and your serial device.

If possible, please take the screenshot of the Serial Port tab of CSE-M73 on ezManager, and also send us the serial parameters of your serial device.

We also would like to ask if you just need to transmit raw data via the serial connection, or there is any serial protocol required (e.g., Modbus RTU/ASCII)?

Thank you very much.
Best Regards

Despite, I can detect the CSE-m73 throw the ezManager application.
When I connect the CSE-M73 to the PC throw serial and ethernet port, the simple test is successful I can send and receive data from both ports.

> Dear Customer,

Thank you for choosing our products.
However, we are not sure we fully understand your problem.
Could you please give us more description about how exactly did your problem happen?

Please follow the checklist below to troubleshoot the problem:
https://www.eztcp.com/en/support/view?page=1&cid=286

Make sure the serial cable and connector work well, and the serial parameters are matched between devices in your application.
If possible, please connect CSE-M73 to ezManager, and then click the Status button, take the screenshot and send us.

To avoid language misunderstanding, you can also contact the seller where you bought the CSE-M73 device, for support in communicating with us.

Thank you very much.
Best Regards

> Bonjour,
