In reply to you questions:-

1.) The serial data is sent from a Windows Tablet using UDP Wi-Fi. Your module CSW-H85K then decodes it and outputs RS485 data on the serial output port.

2.) Our electronic moudule then replys through the CSW-H85K serial port in RS485 format. The CSW-H85K then sends this data back to the Windows Tablet using UDP Wi-Fi.

3.) The serial data is in the format of 1 start bit, 8 data bits and 1 stop bit and 19200 baud although the baud rate can be faster. Because RS485 transmit and receive data is sent over the same pair of wires then you cannot receive and transmit data at the same time. So the time I need to know, to avoid data collisions, is the time from when the CSW-H85K has outputted the last RS485 serial byte it received until it has switched to transmit and therefore data is ready to be transmitted back, via the serial port, through the CSW-H85K and back to the Windows Tablet using UDP Wi-Fi.
