No.194 Which cable should I use? straight or cross over? 04-06-2007
Category : how to

A straight(1:1) cable is used to connect a LAN device(for example ezTCP, PC) to a hub.
A crossover cable is used to connect a LAN device to a LAN device without hub.
You can connect PC to ezTCP using a crossover cable.

However, almost network devices detect the type of cable automatically these days.
So does ezTCP.
Except for the below products, you can use both types of cable without concern.

EZL-50 / 50L / 50M / 70 / 200L
